Project

The Angel Project occurred accidentally. I often go through cemeteries and take photos of old headstones. I started to notice that a lot of headstones had angels on top of them, and primarily from people who were of Russian or Ukrainian decent. I started taking photos of them. Soon enough, I angled these shots to show these statutes to bring them to life. I would often thank them for allowing me to photograph them, because I felt like I was on their “turf”, and evading their space. After awhile, it seemed that they were everywhere. I’ve got enough to display an exhibit, and hope to one day display the archive in an exhibit format. Here are some from this series.
